Granada’s trip to the Santiago Bernabeu ended in defeat as Real Madrid won a 4-2 contest against the upstart team. The visiting team fought back from a 0-3 deficit behind goals from Darwin Machis and Domingo Duarte but they could not equalize and get a point from Real Madrid. With the win, Madrid kept their place on top of the league while Granada fell to 4th place at four points behind.
After a big upset win over Barcelona, Granada had briefly taken the top spot in the EPL standings. Granada followed that up with a draw against Valladolid and a win against Leganes. However, Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid was too much to handle for this newly promoted side.

Osasuna is fresh off a 2-1 win over Villareal in Round 8. Villareal took the early lead via a 5th-minute goal by Pau Torres but Facundo Roncaglia scored the equalizer at the 46th-minute mark. Ezequiel Avila scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute to give Osasuna their first win since opening week. Osasuna controlled 52% of the possession time and won the match despite Villareal having the edge in shots in goal at 5 versus 4.
CA Osasuna ranks 9th in the league in Goal Difference. They have scored seven goals this season which puts them in 12th place. Osasuna is also 12th in assists with four on the season and they have conceded a total of seven goals this season which is ranked 3rd overall in the La Liga.

Granada isn’t playing like a newly promoted side right now. Despite their loss to Real Madrid, they are having one fine season. Osasuna is coming off a win but they have been struggling for the most of the season.
