The Indianapolis Colts travel to M&T Bank Stadium to test the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football.

Indianapolis is coming off its first win of the season against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4. The Colts scored to unanswered points as they took a 20-3 lead which they never relinquished. The Colts are 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS after four weeks played this season and they are in second place in the woeful AFC South Division team standings.

Baltimore has won three straight games after losing a close game to the Las Vegas Raiders on opening week. The Ravens dealt the Denver Broncos their first loss of the season while playing on the road last week. The Ravens are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS after four games played and they are the top team in the AFC North Division.

The Colts lead their all-time head-to-head series at 8-5 but the Ravens have won four out of their last five encounters including a 24-10 road win in their last game played on November 8, 2020.

Football Who Wins?

Indianapolis is 1-4 SU in their last five games played. The Colts are 1-1 SU in two home games played this season, and 8-1 SU in their last nine games played in October. On the other hand, the Ravens are 9-2 SU in their last 11 games played. Baltimore is also 7-0 SU in their last seven October games, 7-1 SU in their last eight games as betting favorites.

Please Note

The Baltimore Ravens are the better team on both ends of the field. Baltimore is 8th in the league in scoring and 12th in scoring defense. The Ravens defense allowed 17 and 7 points in their last two games and their most recent outing, they held down the Denver Broncos to only 254 yards of offense.

The Colts rank 21st in the league in scoring and are barely breaching the 20 point scoring mark. Wide receiver T.J. Hilton is out of this game with an injury and that should compound their offensive woes. Wentz isn’t the most mobile QB out there and he is also dealing with sprained ankles. He will be facing a Ravens defense that already has registered 10 total sacks this season.

Indianapolis will have trouble moving the ball here. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson should be too much to handle for the Colts defense, especially with his running game.

Prediction: Baltimore Ravens -335

Odds from BetOnline as of 10/11/2021

The Ravens seemed to have found their rhythm on defense in the last two weeks. That’s going to be trouble for a Colts team that has struggled to score and who will be without their top wide receiver. Baltimore has won 15 out of its last 16 games against opponents with losing records and they have done so by an average winning margin of 17 points per game. Give me the Ravens to cover the spread as well.

Prediction: Ravens -7

The total has gone over in 9 out of the last 13 games played by the Colts. The over is 15-6 in their last 21 October games, 5-2 in their last seven Monday games, 5-2 in their last seven games after a straight up win, 5-1 in their last six Week 5 games, 7-0 in their last seven games against an opponent with a winning record, 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog, and 4-1 in their last five games played on the road.
