The Hornets won in overtime in a game where they scored just 80 points, the Timberwolves won for the second time in three games and Memphis held it’s ground at home against Portland to hand us a 5-3 record on Saturday night (333-175 on the year). Had it not been for those odd finishes, we would have had a perfect 8-0 run and anyone using out picks for NBA betting would have had one sweet night on the town.

The weekend isn’t over and we still plan on getting a perfect slate out of this weekend. Let’s dive into Sunday’s NBA picks, where just three games reside:

Pelicans @ Raptors

Anthony Davis sat out the Pellies’ last game and watched them get housed by the Sixers, of all teams. Needless to say, they aren’t remotely close to the same team when he’s out of the lineup and you can pick them at your own risk (so we’ve learned). He and Jrue Holiday (shin) are both iffy for the early game today, so if you’re getting your picks in before everyone else, you may want to be a tad cautious. The Raptors should probably be the favorite, either way, as they have a healthy DeMar DeRozan back and are pretty solid at home.

Pick: Raptors 106, Pelicans 101

Thunder @ Magic

Orlando has struggled overall with Tobias Harris (ankle) missing time, while they’ve taken a slide over their last 10 (3-7). Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic have stepped up in his absence, but it really hasn’t been working out in the wins column. Orlando does host this game tonight, but Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant looked sharp in their last outing and should be able to get the road win if they play like they can.

Pick: Thunder 107, Magic 98

Jazz @ Spurs

The Spurs and Jazz cap a slow NBA night and with this one in San Antonio, it’s a likely Spurs win. That’s backed by a healthy trio of Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard and Tiago Splitter, although it’s certainly worth noting that Utah stole the first meeting, 100-96. Look for San Antonio’s defense to be much more sound tonight as they start picking up the pieces of a mediocre season at home.

Pick: Spurs 111, Jazz 104
