Wednesday can always be tough when it comes to NBA betting, as there are usually 10+ games and sometimes we get hit with one of those off the wall nights where nothing makes sense. It’s at it’s worst when it comes on Wednesdays, but only two games really went away from the norm (76ers and Heat gettings wins). Overall we ended the big night nicely, going 8-3 through 11 contests.

We missed Philly and Miami topping the Pistons and Blazers, respectively, while the Wizards snuck by the Jazz in Utah in a heated defensive battle. We’ll take our lumps and moved forward into a light Thursday night with our 591-303 season record:

Timberwolves @ Knicks

New York got a big win over the Spurs two nights ago, so they’re primed to drop down and lose again, although Alexey Shved could come out with revenge on the brain as he welcomes his former team to Madison Square Garden. Minnesota is bad enough for the Knicks to keep it close, but with Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin healthy they should still take it.

Pick: T’Wolves 104, Knicks 101

Nuggets @ Rockets

Ty Lawson and the other Nuggets that rested this weekend should be back, but that won’t prepare them to take down the Rockets. James Harden could go nuts in this one, while Houston just doesn’t lose much at home (25-9 on their home floor). You can chase the Total, but the Rockets are the pick.

Pick: Rockets 107, Nuggets 104

Pelicans @ Suns

Another fast-paced game, just behind the Nuggets/Rockets game, is this matchup between the Pelicans and Suns. Phoenix may have a minor edge with this one going down in the desert, but Anthony Davis has been fairly unstoppable and no Brandon Knight hurts Phoenix’s offensive upside.

Pick: Pelicans 108, Suns 104

Jazz @ Lakers

Utah lost a tough defensive battle against the Wizards last night, but get a potential gimme game in L.A. tonight. The Lakers certainly can compete with even the best of teams when they bring their ‘A’ game, but the Jazz have been quite a force defensively lately. Utah struggles on the road, but this is a good one for them to take. Of course, with the way the NBA works sometimes, we won’t be shocked to see both the Lakers and Knicks win tonight.

Pick: Jazz 99, Lakers 90
