Don’t pick the Lakers. This is what I said in my head after they went into Sunday night with a three-game winning streak. But with no Russell Westbrook or Kevin Durant, I got caught up in Lake Show fever. What happened? L.A. lost and ended up being our long blemish on a 5-1 night (499-262 on the season). “Don’t pick the Lakers” is something I’ll be saying next time they play, too.

While that one misfire is a bummer, we still fared well last night and you should have, too. The difficulty dies down a bit tonight as we have just give games to get the new week started. Join us, won’t you, as we dive into our NBA picks for Monday, 3/2/2015:

Raptors @ 76ers

Kyle Lowry is out tonight but it’s hard to see the Sixers topping a solid Raptors squad. Lou Williams could have a big scoring night against his former team, while DeMar DeRozan could also go off. Either way, Toronto should win this one easily.

Pick: Raptors 104, Sixers 98

Suns @ Heat

Goran Dragic is questionable to face his former team, but the Suns have been in a downward spiral and Miami hosts this one. If the Heat can keep the pace slow and Hassan Whiteside can avoid foul trouble, they should get a nice home win.

Pick: Heat 101, Suns 97

Warriors @ Nets

Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green are both in danger of being rested tonight, but the Warriors can still get by the Nets thanks to their awesome balance and depth. Stephen Curry went nuts last night, so don’t be shocked if it’s Klay Thompson’s turn tonight.

Pick: Warriors 104, Nets 101

Clippers @ Timberwolves

Chris Paul has the Clippers marching strong despite Blake Griffin still being out, while the T’Wolves try to hold serve at home with both Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic possibly out. If they can’t go, the Timberwolves will be playing with their backs against the wall.

Pick: Clips 109, T’Wolves 103

Pelicans @ Mavericks

New Orleans has somehow won five in a row without Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday or Ryan Anderson, but that streak is going to come to an end tonight. Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons are out but the Mavs are solid at home and still have plenty of pieces to put up points.

Pick: Mavs 105, Pellies 102
