Sports Betting Options

The betting options at Bookmaker cover the most popular sports in the world, with a focus on US sports and soccer (football to you non-US readers). Football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer are covered extensively. Within each one of those sections, you will see numerous leagues and a ton of individual wagers.

For example, the football betting area is divided up into sections for traditional matchup wagers, Super Bowl wagers, first halfs, NCAA leagues, NCAA halfs, CFL matchups and more. And when you choose any one matchup, multiple betting options for that game are also displayed.

All the other major sports get the same treatment. This also goes for soccer, which covers at least three dozen leagues around the world. In addition to those primary sports, also covers major events in tennis, boxing, MMA, grappling, cricket, surfing and entertainment.

Here’s the full list:

  • Football
    (NFL, NCAA, CFL)
  • Baseball
    (MLB, Mexico, Venezuela)
  • Basketball
    (NBA, NCAA, Euroleague)
  • Hockey
  • Soccer
    (Several dozen international leagues)
  • Tennis
    (ATP, WTA)
  • Racing
    Motor Racing
    (F1, NASCAR)
  • Golf
    (PGA, WPGA, Japan, Australasian)
  • Boxing
  • MMA
    Martial Arts(UFC, Bellator, Grappling)
  • Cricket
  • Tickets
    Entertainment Bets
  • Surfing

Some sports not listed here may make the occasional appearance during special events, but these are the main ones. You can see it’s not the most extensive list of sports, but each sport is covered to great detail – especially the US sports.

If you bet on any of these sports, you really should check the lines at Bookmaker before you bet anywhere else. We do quite a bit of comparison shopping for our own wagers, and Bookmaker is always competitive. You’re missing out on easy money if you bet on sports and don’t check the lines at Bookmaker before every wager.

Other Forms of Gambling

Sports betting is the primary focus at Bookmaker, but there are a few other gambling options. also has areas for casino games, horse race betting and poker. As much as we like the site, it’s hard to recommend it for anything other than sports betting. All the other forms of gambling should be seen as “supplementary.”

  • Casino

The casino is functional, but it’s not all that impressive. You definitely wouldn’t want to sign up here if your first love is casino gambling. The casino is more of a side benefit for sports bettors. The game selection is limited and the software is outdated.

It’s good enough for the sports bettor who might want to play a few rounds of blackjack, but that’s about it. There are about a dozen slot machines, half a dozen table games, and video poker machines and a few other random games like bingo and keno.

  • Poker Room

The poker room is more of the same. It’s not anything special and we wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who primarily plays poker. There are much better sites for poker players. It’s not ALL bad, though. The Bookmaker poker room does have a weekly $50K Guarantee as well as the occasional $100,000 tournament. is a part of the Winning Poker Network (formerly the Yatahay Network). This is one of the smallest US-friendly poker networks, and the software is mediocre. Again, this poker room is good enough for a few casual games but nothing more.

  • Horse Racing Book

The racebook makes a better showing, fortunately. It’s still not quite a full-fledged horse racing experience, but it does offer all the most popular wagers on most of the large North American tracks. An added bonus is that you can get up to 8% of your action given back to you every day whether you win or lose.

When you visit the racebook, a quick list of tracks with upcoming races is displayed on the front page. You can then click on any track and that will take you to an area that shows all upcoming races and available wagers. It’s all very well organized and easy to use.

Deposits and Withdrawals

One of the keys to Bookmaker’s long term success has been its efficiency at processing deposits and withdrawals. New customers can deposit via bank wire, paper check, cash transfer and credit card. Bookmaker consistently has one of the highest rates for US deposit success.

Getting your money online is easy, but it’s even more important to get your money back home again. Bookmaker achieves high marks in this area as well. Unlike some other online sportsbooks, Bookmaker does not look for excuses to refuse withdrawals and it doesn’t take forever to send you your money. Hit the “withdraw” button and you will get your money quickly.
