US Casinos – USA Real Money Casinos – Online Casino for USA
Real Money Casinos for the US
This is a tricky topic but as you see below there are still thousands of online casinos taking real money deposits from players located inside of the United States. Again just like playing at legal US poker sites, casinos are similar in a way.
2. Bodog.com
Those are just to name of the few that are most popular right now. There really are so many it’s like the days before any laws passed, online casinos that take US players are not short handed. But let me give you a recap of what all this misinformation is about and why you might not be able to deposit at certain casinos.
Legal Points for Online Casinos
Chances are you went to an online casino that you googled, maybe for example 888.com. You went to deposit and got an error message saying it was illegal to take deposits from players in the United States and had to play free casino games without money involved. First off, this is complete BS. They want you to think that it is illegal when in actuality it is not. There is not one law out there that says, you, as a player are breaking any laws when you place a bet online.
Unfortunately it’s these casinos spreading false information that causes so much confusion. Their true intentions is to make you think it’s illegal so you won’t play at one of their competitors sites that do accept US bets.
For the most part, there was a law that passed in 2006. All the sudden big gaming giants that were publicly held overseas on the London Stock Exchange quit serving all their American players. Because there was such a huge demand for players at that point almost all of the privately held online casinos kept on doing business as usual. That’s why you’ll find one casino that accepts US players and the next one doesn’t.
Watch for Rogue Casinos
In the past 3-4 years I’ve seen so many casinos come and go. Lots of times with players and advertisers money. Believe it or not, some of these sites are still in business! We’ve done our research to only mention sites of good standing reputation on gamblingsites.com but still on occasion a bad seed will pop up. My suggestion is don’t play anywhere you don’t feel is safe. If a bonus seems too good to be true, it is. If the support sucks, don’t play there because it’s not going to get any better once you make a big score.
What’s to Come in the Future
This is actually a very good topic and something very exciting. A couple years ago everyone was against US online casinos and gambling in general. News reporters were spouting crap that it corrupted the youth, promoted bankrupts, and all sorts of negatives like people were losing their house bla bla bla. Congressmen were saying the same junk. Guess what? Harvard Law came out with studies to prove all these people wrong. In the study they found that online gambling is no more addicting that betting at a local casino and didn’t cause higher rates of gambling addiction.
Now, 3 years later we have Congressmen pushing for online casinos to be legalized for the tax money and news reporters stick up for the gamblers. And why not? It’s your money and you should be able to gamble casually if you want.
So that leads of to true “US online casinos”. In the future we might see a Harrahs online casino, or a MGM poker site that accepts US players across most states. That’s what the plan is among many out there. Not only would it keep tax money in the US but it would make things much safe and players wouldn’t have to rely on weird deposit options and dodgy online casinos.
US Poker but Not US Casinos?
We have something called the Pokerplayersalliance.org that really pushes for poker but to my knowledge there is no big organization that is helping out online casinos. To have a regulated US online casinos I think we are going to need a bigger lobbying power behind us for casinos. The PPA is pretty much only poker as it can be said to be a game of skill, but once poker is legalized online we may see the big US casinos pushing for legalization of casino games as well. What the future holds, nobody knows….
